Testimonials

“I hired Mary to help me clean out and organize my childrens’ closets which were truthfully, a disaster.  Mary did a wonderful job organizing the closets and helping me create a practical closet system.  She was very professional and friendly. Mary also helped create a sense of peace by having one area of my home organized. She honestly changed my life by inspiring me to continue organizing my home even after she was done helping me.  I highly recommend hiring Mary to help you organize your home.  it could change your life.”

“Mary is not only my “life” mentor, but also my inspiration.  She brought a sense of calm to the “storm” that was my life.  The nuts and bolts of what Mary did for me was to help me schedule my life in such a way that all the “to do’s” (daily, weekly, monthly, etc.), could actually get done without making me a crazy  person.  The actuality of what Mary did for me was to give me control and give me my life back.

My life before Mary’s help looked a lot like this….feeling like I was constantly working to clean up my house, but never being fully able to accomplish anything.  I could never really CLEAN my house because I could never manage to get anything picked up and put away.  I felt like everything I did was undone seconds later by my 3 little ones.  I would go to bed exhausted at night from working so hard, but not really able to point to one accomplishment and say “Well, at least I got that done” because nothing was ever DONE!

Mary and I looked at what a typical week was like for me and wrote out all of my to do’s.  We then placed each item in a day of the week that would best work with my schedule.  The best thing about this type of schedule is knowing that you don’t have to get to everything that day because it doesn’t have to be done until another day.  It is beyond freeing to realize I CAN get everything done (or close to it) just by following a simple, dynamic/flexible schedule.

Mary is also my inspiration because of how she gets her children involved in everyday chores.  I have a habit of complaining about the messes the kids make, but have not made the habit of making them responsible for it all.  My kids are 6, 4, 4 – plenty old enough to help out with several chores.  We have started small – just being responsible for keeping the playroom and their bedrooms picked up.  And ya know what?  It’s actually working!  Now, I have more free to time to (gasp) clean the toilets, mop the floor, and yes, I even organized my pantry!   She shared a quote with me that resonates very loudly, “Don’t  handicap your children by making their lives easy”.  I am trying to really live by that.

I am also inspired to de-clutter.  I have “de-cluttered” and organized in the past, but I have come to realize that much of what I was doing was spending money on really nice organizing bins to “organize” my clutter.  Mary has helped me to realize that organizing stuff I don’t use or love or keeping things because of guilt is NOT the way to live a clutter free/organized life.  It is all a process and I am working hard every day to stick to my new principles that Mary has taught me.  Mary continually encourages me and gives me much needed pep talks and words of wisdom.  I feel empowered and know that I CAN do this with her support!!”
